The mother and grandmother of a teen who died from a heroin overdose at an Ohio hotel have admitted to supplying him with the drugs that killed him.
Sixteen-year-old Andrew Frye's mother, Heather Frye, and grandmother, Brenda Frye, pleaded guilty Wednesday to involuntary manslaughter and other charges.
Prosecutors say Heather Frye, Brenda Frye and the mother's friend were in the room at a suburban Akron hotel with the teen before he died in April. Heather Frye's friend, Jessica Irons, was sentenced to four years behind bars in the case.
Authorities say Brenda Frye delivered the drugs that her daughter and a friend used with the teen. Prosecutors say Brenda Frye got the heroin from her boyfriend, who was charged with heroin possession.
